Not for Beginners due to moderate 2 1/2 mph Pace

Come join your AOC hiking buddie on this 2 hour - 5 mile hike at Jones Bridge Unit, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

These trails have a few moderate climbs, to get your chest pumping, but nothing too strenuous.

We meet and start at the main parking lot at the very end of the road. It is at the second lot to the north, not the first lot right on the river...keep going to the left on the access road once in the park.  It’s better to arrive a little earlier than the starting time for restroom, getting ready, and introductions.

Daily parking pass is $5 cash if you don't have an annual pass.

An annual pass is a great way to motivate oneself to keep coming back and enjoy all of the National Recreation Area parks and national parks throughout the USA. It is more convenient and very cost effective.

We'll meet at the main parking lot, at the end of the road.

9065 Barnwell Rd. Johns Creek, GA  30022

 

From GA 400, take exit 7A, and go East 4.4 miles to the junction of Barnwell Rd. Turn left on to Barnwell Rd, and travel 1.6 miles to Jones Bridge Unit entrance on the right. Turn right and go 1.1 miles to its main parking lot at the end of road.  Restrooms are located here.
