Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Join us for a flat 10 mile sunday afternoon one-way walk on the Beltline Trail - west, south, and southeast sections. The new south section is open on an interim basis and is still dirt/gravel. The paved westside trail has been open for a few years.

We will meet at the Washington Park parking lot (1125 Lena St NW , Atlanta) at 11 am. It is located half a mile from the Ashby marta station. We will complete the hike at the Inman Park-Reynoldstown marta station.

We will stop on the way at around 12 pm for a half hour lunch and refreshments break at Monday Night Brewery directly on the trail at 1020 White st sw. Some food may be available at the boxcar restaurant next door.

The total distance will be about 10 miles on the trail which is composed of concrete and dirt/gravel.

Meeting Location: 1125 Lena St NW Atlanta - (Washington Park)

Since we begin a half mile from the ashby marta station and end at the Inman park marta station you have many possible options to park and take marta to the start. The marta train schedule is integrated on google maps, choose the train option.

Please give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to the entrance to meet us. Please take note of the parking signs to avoid an expensive ticket or boot.

One Option: I will be parking at or near the Inman Park marta station at around 10:20 am, take the next marta train to the Ashby station, walk to washington park, arriving at the start at about 10:52 am.

Feel free to join me at around 10:23 am at the Inman Park marta station to travel together.
