Please join in for a beautiful Saturday Fall hike at Yonah Mountain in nearby Cleveland, GA..

Although rated a D3, this is a challenging hike with about 1500 feet of elevation gain in a short distance, with some rugged terrain along the way. Our pace will be moderate (averaging about 2.5 mph), and we'll take a break at the summit to enjoy a snack and the scenery.

Get a photo on the rock that hangs over the mountain ledge.

The duration of the event accounts for the carpool drive time as well as an optional lunch stop at Yonah Burger that your trip leader plans to do. If driving direct, please be at the trailhead by 10:45am. If meeting at the carpool, please be there by 9:20 AM for an 9:30 AM departure..

This hike is not appropriate for beginners or inexperienced AOCers.

The Yonah Mountain trailhead is located just north of Cleveland, GA off Chambers Road. (There's a short drive on a gravel road, but it's usually well maintained and even low-clearance vehicles do fine.)
