CRNRA - TRAIL WORK - Vickery Creek - Oxbo Rd Trail

Please join me for the AOC's first 'Adopt-A-Park' project at Vickery Creek. We'll be doing trail maintenance near the Oxbo Rd park entrance, and if time permits we'll reinforce a trail closure.  Dave Thomas, CRNRA Volunteer Coordinator will provide tools and gloves.

Work is moderate with some heavy lifting (optional). We'll use tools and move logs to repair eroded trails.

We will meet at 9:30 AM at the Vickery Creek Trail Bridge on Oxbo Rd to sign NPS waivers.  See parking options below and allow 5 to 10 minutes to walk from either parking area.

Limited parking is available at the Oxbo Trail parking area (across from 148 Oxbo Rd). Walk East on the gravel path between Oxbo Rd and the creek until you reach the bridge.

Additional parking is available at Groveway Community Park @ 160 Dobbs Drive (newly renamed Frank Lewis Dr).  The park is 3/10ths of a mile from Oxbo Rd, continue another 1/10th of a mile to parking (and restrooms).  There is a sidewalk along Dobbs Drive for the walk back to Oxbo Rd - the bridge is across the street.

Note: Restrooms are available at Groveway Community Park.

The Vickery Creek Trail bridge is located on Oxbo Rd near the intersection with Dobbs Dr (newly renamed Frank Lewis Dr).  It's between Grimes Bridge Rd and Atlanta St in Roswell.

Limited parking at the Oxbo Trail parking area (across from 148 Oxbo Rd).  Walk east on the gravel trail between Oxbo Rd and the creek to the bridge.

Additional parking at Groveway Community Park at 160 Dobbs Dr (newly renamed Frank Lewis Dr), which is 4/10th of a mile from Oxbo Rd.  Walk along the sidewalk back to Oxbo Rd.  Bridge is across the street.

Allow 5 to 10 mins to walk from either parking lot.
