Itinerary:

We will meet on top of the Falls at 9:00 am and follow the AT Approach Trail for 4.5 miles until its intersection with the Hike Inn Trail, which we will follow for 1 mile until we reach the Inn. After having lunch we will continue on the Hike Inn Trail back to our starting point. At present the Hike Inn allows access to its dining room only to its overnight guests, but we can probably get water outside.

Event Directions:

Amicalola State Park is 15 miles northwest of Dawsonville on GA 52. Take 400 North to GA 53 (on your left) Take GA 53 west to GA 183 north to GA 52 east. Park is on your left.

Notes:

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

There is a $5 GA DNR parking fee per vehicle, payable at Amicalola Falls State Park unless you display an annual pass.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review the AOC cancellation policy.
*Note:

If anybody wants to follow me to the park we can meet at 7:15 am at the Park and Ride at Mansell Road.

Directions to the Park and Ride at Mansell Road: From downtown Atlanta drive north on GA 400 to Exit 8. Take a left on Mansell Road, and the first left into the parking lot. If you got to the traffic light you went too far.
