Please join me at Picketts Mill Historic Battlefield. six miles in about 2 1/2 hours Pace of hike will be moderate. We will take a few quick water breaks.

Last time I visited Picketts Mill (around this time last year) was a day with literally hundreds of mushrooms - odd shapes, sizes, colors, etc. Hoping for the same this time.

Picketts Mill - Meet in the parking lot at the visitor center. There is an entry fee of $5.50 per person ($3.50 for seniors) unless you have a State Historic Site pass. GA State Parks pass does not work at this location. Parking is free. Entry fee will NOT be collected by the AOC. Bring $$$ on day of event

All participants are responsible for paying entry fee at the visitor's center on 7/17/2020

Located Take I-20 exit #44. Turn onto Thornton Road. (Highway 278) Follow Highway 278 West for 10 miles. Make a right onto Highway 92. Travel North on Highway 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for brown Pickett's Mill signs as you continue. Turn left onto Due West Road. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Mount Tabor Church Road. Travel half a mile and the site on the right.

Historic Site Admission - - payable at the Visitor Center upon arrival

- Adults (18–61): $5.50
- Seniors (62+): $3.50
