Itinerary:

please join me for a 4 1/2 mile hike at Henderson Park.  There is a waterfall usually (dependent on recent rainfall) not much elevation and a lake.  It is a park not often posted by the AOC but a beautiful little gem tucked away in Tucker, GA

Hike start time is 1:00 p.m.- please be a few minutes early to meet your fellow hikers.

Great hike for those new to the AOC or new to hiking.  Virtually NO elevation. Hike will be a slow pace - not fast, not moderate - great for beginners.

THere are no restrooms at this location, please plan accordingly.  Parking is free

 

There are a few parking lots - we will meet at the Henderson Road entrance (not the community garden which is where parking in a little traffic circle.  not the entrance just northwest of there with a small parking lot, but the third one (fartherst northwest) HUGE parking lot.  If you have trouble call me 678-759-9732

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

[1] Take I-285 East/South and get off at Exit 37 - Lavista Road
[2] Turn left onto Lavista Road (going outside 285) and go 1.5 miles and make a left on Henderson Road.
[3] Go 1 mile and make a right into the parking lot. 

NOTE:  There are 3 parking lots.  One will say community garden and the other soccer fields.  We are NOT meeting there.  We will be meeting in the parking lot of the main entrance where you will see small gates and a stone wall that says Henderson Park.  There is a picture of that stone wall at the top of this page.
