Itinerary:

It's Monday, and a good day to return to a seldom used hiking trail - - Henderson Park in Tucker, GA. There are three sections of beautiful trails throughout the park, the Red, White, and Blue Trails, plus many athletic fields. The park can't be beat for a variety of hiking surfaces, woods, creeks, lakes, and even a waterfall.

Be careful to follow the directions below, as there are several entrances to the park and numerous parking lots. If you follow your GPS, it may take you to the other entrance to the park. We are entering the park at the entrance off Henderson PARK Road - - NOT the one on Henderson Road!

Hiking poles are recommended!

If you bring a dog, it must be kept on leash and be prepared to pick up after it, if necessary.

The AOC is following CDC guidelines, so please keep a mask in your pocket in case we pass people on the trails and can't keep 6 feet apart.

Required Items to Bring:

Sturdy hiking shoes

Plenty of fluids

A mask in case distancing isn't possible

Hiking poles are recommended for the Red Trail which is hilly, rocky, and full of exposed roots. There is also a small creek crossing at the waterfall.

Please make note: There are 2 main entrances to the park. One is on Henderson Road. THS IS NOT THE ONE TO USE! Instead, use the address/coordinates above and enter on Henderson PARK Road!

We will meet at the FIRST parking lot as you drive into the park.

Notes:

Bring a mask to use when keeping 6 feet from others isn't possible.
