Of course, this event is dependent on state and local government direction and AOC Leadership direction.

We will adhere to any social distancing directives that may be in place.

 

Start Time: 6:00

This is not a beginner bike ride; we may be riding up to and over 14 mph at times, with limited stops.

 

Join us for an after work ride on the Big Creek Greenway. For those of you who have not been on the Big Creek Greenway, it is great!  It is very well maintained, clean and very pretty.  We might even see some wildlife.  The Greenway is made up of mostly paved pathways through the woods with some boardwalks mixed in. We plan to do ride 19-20 miles, starting from the Old Alabama Road parking area.  We'll ride to the end of the Greenway, on Marconi Drive.   Then we will do a triple loop of Marconi Drive.  We plan to regroup only at the  Marconi parking lot before and after our spin around Marconi Drive. 
 
The ride is suitable for a hybrid, road bike or gravel bike. Please make sure your bike is ready to go the night before.   We will depart from the parking lot at 6:00 sharp so please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

1. no helmet = no ride

2. bring water - it's hot out

3. per the directions below -- please follow the paved road back and park by the restroom building

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

1600 Old Alabama Road, Roswell, GA

GA 400 to exit 7 (Holcomb Bridge Rd) and go East towards Norcross


Left at second traffic light onto Old Alabama Rd (Second traffic light). McDonalds is on your right)


Go about 1/3 mile and entrance to Roswell Greenway is on your left - you will turn in to a small parking lot. There is a beige (I think) sign with green writing. Come through that parking lot (continuing away from Old Alabama Rd) and follow the paved road over the hill. There will be a parking area and small restroom building on your right. We'll meet by the restroom building.
