Itinerary:

Adjacent to the park there is a small forest where deer abound. Half of our route will take us along hiking trails within the forest. The other half will be on trails within the park, some of which are paved. There are several shallow creek crossings, so you may prefer to bring along a pair of hiking poles. The elevation change is around 450 ft.

Driving from Holcomb Bridge Rd (GA 140) away from Atlanta, Fouts Rd will be on your left. East Roswell Public Library is at the intersection of Holcomb Bridge Rd and Fouts Rd. After you drive a short distance on Fouts Rd you will reach a Stop sign. Almost immediately after it, the East Roswell Park Community Garden will be on your right. Fouts Rd then does a U-turn, almost completely reversing its direction. After completing the U-turn you will come to a second Stop sign (watch out for speed bumps!). There are several parking lots in the park. The entrance to the parking lot where we will meet is a short distance after this second Stop sign, on the right, next to an elaborate sign with the inscriptions "East Roswell Recreation Center", "Roswell Georgia Recreation & Parks", "Building A", and "9000 Fouts Road".
