Itinerary:

This hike begins at the top of the falls. To reach the top of the falls, turn left just after the park entrance and drive up steeply until you see the parking area to the right. Go back until you see the bathroom and Hike-inn trailhead. We will gather here at 9am.

We will start up the famous Appalachian trail approach trail. We will then cut across to the Hike Inn, where will stop for bathroom and a snack. The Inn typically has drinks and snacks available for dayhikers (donations recommended).

After leaving the Inn, we return to the park via the Hike Inn trail.

This is not a fitness hike , but it is also not for beginners. If you have no history of D4 or higher hikes with the club, you may be contacted by the leader to ensure your ability to complete the hike.

Dogs are permitted at Amicalola Falls, but must stay on leash.
