Let's celebrate the 4th of July at Kennesaw Mountain and enjoy this invigorating 6 mi. hike. The hike will start at 8 am sharp by the entrance to the visitor's center. Please follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19. We will meet at the visitor's center at 7:50 am. to introduce ourselves and get ready to start ascending the mountain, to cross both Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw Mountains, and traverse Pigeon Hill to end at Burnt Hickory Rd. We will take a short rest to return the way we came for a total of six miles and elevation gain of about 1,700 feet. - Intended for intermediate to advanced hikers with prior D3/D4 hiking experience.
