We will hike some trails in that part of Cochran Mill Park that is east of Cochran Mill Parkway and bounded by Bear Creek and Little Bear Creek. We will then cross a bridge to the north bank of Bear Creek and walk a trail inside the Cochran Mill Nature Center. This area is quite pretty. Ruins of an antebellum bridge can be seen on Little Bear Creek, whereas Bear Creek features a couple of dams and some interesting rock formations. The total walking distance is between 6 and 7 miles.

Proceed south on I 85 until Exit 69 (South Fulton Parkway), which is a couple of miles south of the airport exit. Proceed on South Fulton Pkwy approximately 14 miles to Rivertown Rd. Turn right on Rivertown Rd and proceed about 1.7 miles to Cochran Mill Rd. Turn left and proceed about 1.6 miles. The parking lot will be on your right.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $8.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
