Join us on a fast paced/fitness hike on the Smith Creek Trail to beautiful Anna Ruby Falls. We enjoy the sounds of Smith Creek on the first half of our trek to the falls before we climb to Hickory Ridge and enjoy some views of the valley and the roar of the falls in the distance. We will stop for a nice lunch at the falls. From there we will head down to the Visitor Center and back up to the falls.

We will then retrace our steps back to our cars in the campground of Unicoi State Park.

In order to get back home on time, we will be moving quickly with an average of around 3.0 mph with short breaks for water and a break for lunch/photos at the falls.

To join the fun you must have recent mountain hiking experience. This hike is a D4 hike, but the pace will be at the level of D5 hiking. The trip leader reserves the right to move hikers to the wait list if there is doubt regarding fitness and pace. Please expect an email if your AOC matrix does not display recent hiking at this level.
