Itinerary:

Join me for an afternoon hike at Sope Creek (Paper Mill Parking Lot). The hike will start at 3:00 pm and hike about 5 miles starting at the parking lot. We will hike to the northeast side of the creek and return following the trail along the creek until the trail turns south following Fox Creek until the trail turns north returning to the parking lot via Sibley Pond. We will meet the trail head for introductions.

There are no restrooms at this location

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Address 3760 Paper Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30067 (this address is approximate) 

From eastbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Left For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.

From westbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • North For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.

 

Do not leave any valuables in your car including the trunk since vandalism has happened in the past.

 

$5 cash for a daily parking pass - OR if you have the annual CRNRA pass just display in your vehicle and you are good to go.
