Itinerary:

Saddle up and gear up for an urban assault ride that starts at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center (as you pull into the lot, look left; parking nearest the road by bocce ball courts, as it's usually less congested) and travels down a series of bike paths, trails, roadways, boardwalks, sidewalks, and such - ALL the way down to Truist Park & as close to Paces Mill CRNRA in Vinings, as we can get....and back ;)

The pace will be swift and the hills are a bit ridiculous, but the suffering is well worth it at the end! After all it's a no-drop ride, and we are on a lot of flat, smooth sections where recovery can be obtained easily. Layer up it might be a lil chilly.

I'll be on my gravel bike but you can manage on a cross bike, hybrid, mountain bike. This is not an ideal route for a proper road bike...but some 700x30's could manage, keep in mind I'll be throwing EVERY discipline of cycling at you during this ONE ride! We'll be in dirt, on gravel, hammering paved paths & streets, we have big hills up & big hills down, fast corners, and dogging flat sections where the MaxHR is checked - oh and don't forget we have the boardwalks too! All this and 45 miles = a killer urban assault ride. As I said we are alongside traffic a couple of times, (this is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced) be prepared to get vetted if I've never ridden bikes with you.

Once we get down to the end of the "out & back" part of this loop (Rotten Wood Creek Trail) we'll take a quick second to catch our breath use the bathrooms, and head back up the hills we just came in on. I've done this loop many times b4 so I know you'll love it too.

Probably hitting up Cafe Barista in Marietta on the way back to rev up the energy for that last little push and to warm up.
