This is a fitness hike for intermediate to advanced hikers (D4). The hike is approximately 10 miles round trip with an average hiking speed (This will not be at a D5 level hiking pace). We’re going to start from the top of the falls at the trailhead parking lot. From the trailhead, we will hike the Len Foote route and return back via the AT Approach. We should be back in Atlanta early afternoon so you can enjoy the rest of Sunday. You will feel great after this workout!

Please plan on bringing a small snack since we will be dropping by the Len Foote Hike Inn for a 5-10 minute rest break.

From the Park & Ride we will go north on Georgia 400 past the outlet Mall to GA 136. Left on 136 till GA 52. Right until the park entrance. We will gather at the Visitor Center parking lot near the entrance. Parking fee is approximately $5.00.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $41.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
