FULL DISCLOSURE: This is a FAST PACED HIKE, so if you are recovering from injury or have any mobility issues, this is not the hike for you! Also, masks are optional, however, based on your personal needs, feel free to use a mask and/or practice social distancing.

Come beat the heat and get your workout done early as we hike the refurbished South Peachtree Creek boardwalk - RAIN or SHINE - from MEDLOCK PARK to Candler Lake (on the Emory campus) and back. The plan is to maintain a brisk, blood-pumping pace over the 4.7 mile stretch.

Although a significant portion of the hike is on a wooden boardwalk or concrete path, there are some sections on gravel, dirt etc., so wear appropriate footwear, aka, hiking boots!

Once you get to the Medlock Park parking lot, face the baseball fields/playground, and walk to the far LEFT (western corner) towards the railings at the start of the trail.

1. Only AOC members who have signed their annual waiver may sign up for, and participate in, this event.
