Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike through the beautiful trails of the Vickery Creek unit of the Chattachoochee River National Recreation Area.  

We will hike 5 miles at a steady pace stopping only to hyrate a couple of times. 

NOTE.....Please be sure you can keep a steady pace and stay with the group because we have to be back before dark.    Please bring a headlamp or flashlight if you have one.  

For those unfamiliar with Vickery Creek, the trails become somewhat technical in many places due to erosion that exposes roots and leads to difficult footing.  This makes it a bit challenging for newer hikers. Poles are advised for some of the steeper hills.      

There are no restrooms at this location.

Parking is free

Please arrive a few minutes early to check in as we will leave on time.

NOTE....Oxbo Road is closed at Atlanta Street.  You have to enter Oxbo from Grimes Bridge only.  

PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WATER !!

We will be meeting in the parking lot on Oxbo Road.  Oxbo is closed at Atlanta Street.  You have to enter Oxbo from Grimes Bridge Road.  For a zoomable map please click on the green and blue icon at the top of this page.
