Berkeley Lake - 8.4 Mile Evening Urban Hike: Rolling Hills & Curves Included

Do you want to have a fun and adventurous night? Join us for an evening urban hike around Berkeley Lake!

We'll admire the gorgeous scenery and houses of the area, covering a total distance of 8.4 miles, +/-. The pace will depend on the group's wishes.

This hike is an ideal opportunity to mingle and bond with new and old friends. We'll be walking mostly on paved streets, with some sidewalks and a short forest path. There are some inclines along the way, but nothing too tough. 

Also, this hike is for fun-loving people and those who enjoy being around others. Some of us like to make jokes, tell stories, and have a good laugh. If you're easily offended or prefer a quiet walk in the park, this hike is probably not for you. You've been warned!

We will hike most of the lake loop (Lake Shore Drive to North Berkeley Lake Road and back) which includes a 1 mile forest greenway loop side trail.  Our starting and finishing point with be the Berkeley Lake City Hall parking lot across the street from Lake Berkeley Chapel. You can't miss it.

This is a paved street hike with only a partial sidewalk section and forest trail, so please be sure to wear bright clothing so you can be seen by drivers.

There is some local neighborhood road traffic, but generally very light. We will be hiing against any oncoming traffic. You are responsible for your own safety.

Lake Berkeley has been named a Tree City USA for 18 years!

This hike is not flat and has several hills and winding curves.
