FULL DISCLOSURE:

This is a FAST-PACED HIKE, so if you have mobility issues or are recovering from injury, this may not be the hike for you!

That said, RAIN or SHINE, we'll hike the refurbished South Peachtree Creek boardwalk from MEDLOCK PARK to the Candler Lake loop (on the Emory campus) and back. We'll maintain a brisk pace (17 minute/mile) to get our blood pumping over the 4.4 mile roundtrip hike, while we enjoy the lovely views.

The majority of the hike is on a wooden boardwalk or concrete path, with some sections on gravel, dirt etc., so wear appropriate footwear.

I will email detailed directions a day or two before the hike.

Notes:

1. Only AOC members who are in good standing and have signed their annual waiver may sign up for, and participate in, this event.

2. Please, no guests and +Ones!

3. I usually hike RAIN-or-SHINE, however, in case of severe weather or other unforeseen emergencies that warrant a cancellation, I will text/email you at least ONE HOUR before the start of the event.

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

In order to earn participation credit, participants must begin and complete the hike with the group.
