Who doesn't love the white blaze of the AT?

Join me on this difficult hike as we go over 5 mountains including Cowrock with its' outstanding views. This is a great training hike and if you like the AT, it is a chance to spend the day on this iconic trail. Who knows, we may even see a bear!

We will start at the Byron Reese parking area and head on the Byron Reese trail uphill towards the AT. Once we reach the white blazes we will make a left turn for our long journey to Hogpen Gap. When we are able we will reach speeds of 3 mph, but considerably slower on our uphill climbs. Once we reach Hogpen Gap we will turn around and retrace our steps. Somewhere along the way we will stop for a delicious lunch.

This is a difficult, D6 hike with over 4500 feet of ascent, only experienced D6 hikers will be allowed on the event.
