Itinerary:

We'll start our hike at Riverside Park (meeting at the bathrooms) and walk down the sidewalk and trail past Don White Park. We'll take a turn into the woods for a bit before returning to Riverside Park, where we'll have a short restroom break, grab our hiking poles, and cross the street into Vickery Creek. We'll do an abbreviated loop through Vickery Creek and return to our cars, hopefully getting in 5+ miles. Our pace will be moderate. The Vickery Creek portion of the hike will not be easy, as the park has some technical trails with hills, roots, and rocks - - so hiking experience is required! Our pace will be a steady moderate speed - - about 2.5 - 2.8 mph.

This starting point offers lots of free parking spaces plus bathrooms.

Please plan to arrive by 9:50 am to use the bathroom, check in, and do intros.

Hiking poles are recommended for the Vickery Creek portion of the hike. There are elevation changes, roots and rocks!

RIVERSIDE PARK

575 Riverside Road

Roswell, GA 30075

From Northbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 6 for Northridge Road
Stay RIGHT onto Northridge Road crossing bridge
Take first RIGHT onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles
Turn RIGHT at Ga. 9 (Roswell Road), go 0.6 miles
Cross river turn RIGHT onto Riverside Road, cross the bridge and the park is on the right.

From Southbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 7 for Ga. 140 (Holcomb Bridge Road)
Turn RIGHT onto Ga. 140 East (Holcomb Bridge Road), go 0.2 mile
Turn LEFT at Dogwood Road, go 1.0 miles
Continue STRAIGHT on Riverside Road, go 1.0 mile
Turn LEFT at park entrance - - just before crossing the bridge at Atlanta Road.
