This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Come join me in a walk through Decatur with an optional stop at the world-famous Brick Store Pub before walking back to our cars. We will walk through the "Old Sycamore" neighborhood, through the Agnes Scott College campus, south to Oakhurst, through Oakhurst to Parkview, before heading to the Decatur Square on Ponce de Leon. At the square we will have an optional stop at the Brick Store Pub for refreshments before heading down Sycamore Street back down Sycamore Street to our cars.

While I am very familiar with this area—I lived on Sycamore Street for over 20 years—I'm marking this as exploratory because I've not done this exact route before. Because of this, I can't be sure exactly how long it will take. I've estimated it will take two hours, but it might take longer, and I can't guess how long people might choose to stay at the Brick Store Pub. It will take about 10 minutes to walk from the Brick Store Pub down Sycamore Street to the Avondale Marta station where we will park.

We will park at the Avondale Marta station's North lot on Sycamore Street at Ponce de Leon. For your GPS use:

915 E Ponce de Leon, Decatur, GA

Park in the lower lot on the right as you face the station. It is easiest to enter from the Sycamore Street side of the station, where we will meet.
