This month’s workplan has us replacing the bridge at the intersection of the Gilbert Road Parking Lot and the 24 Gun Trail. We will first remove the old bridge than build a new bridge in its place. If we have time at the end we will add a berm going across the trail coming from the parking lot to the bridge and trim the bushes on both sides of the bidge.

VOLUNTEER!! YOUR PARK NEEDS YOU!!

We will stay together working as a group & follow the instructions of our Crew Leader(s) of which you will be assigned to my group. We will learn the procedures of how to make our trails better for today & for the future.

If we have more than 6 sign up, I have the authority to increase this to all that sign up. There will be no waiting list for this event.

Required Items to Bring:

Long Pants are now required

Comfortable closed toe shoes

Work Gloves

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

From I-75:

Get off I-75 at exit 267 going toward Marietta.

Turn right on Church Steet for 0.6 miles.

Turn left on Old Hwy 41 for 1.2 miles.

Turn left on Stilesboro Rd for 1.3 miles.

Turn left on Gilber Rd for 0.2 miles.

The Gilbert parking Lot is on the left, we will be parking in the field on the right.

PARKING PASSES: Parking passes will be issued to volunteers at the time they arrive. Someone will direct you to the field across the street form the parking lot.
