Often, a small gathering of goldfinches can be spotted in one area of Johnson Ferry North. We've seen a heavy wildflower bloom in the same area following a few heavy thunderstorms.
This is not a hike for a beginner. You will be moved to the wait list if you have not met the written requirements or the event is full.
For this hike, we will accomplish -- Avg. Speed: 3.2 mph (Fast) Terrain: RUGGED; rugged creek banks and stepping stones with up to 18 creek crossings; bird area with wet grass and overgrowth Elevation Gain: 466 feet

From Johnson Ferry Rd turn on to Lower Roswell Rd (towards Roswell). Hyde Rd is on the right and clearly marked.
Go all the way to the end of Hyde Rd and park on the right or left when you see the gazebo. Parking rows are between the gazebo and the community garden. There are restrooms at the Community Center (looks like a ranch home) behind the gazebo. | ||||||
