Itinerary:

Come join Zeus and I for this Friday morning hike exploring a park in my back yard of Woodstock. We'll be covering about 4.5 to 5 miles miles all three loops on the Avalanche trail in a little over two hours. We'll stop as needed for water breaks and gather the group together; otherwise, we'll move along at a moderate pace. if time permits and there's interest we could make side trips to an old railroad trestle and/or to Little River.

The trails we'll be hiking are actually biking paths, so we'll have to obey the directional postings and yield to bikers. Pedestrians (hikers, walkers, runners) must travel in the opposite direction from bikers. Hopefully, at this time of day, we won't have too much competition from our mechanical companions.

Optional, post hike group lunch in a nearby establishment (ie five guys) at trip leaders discretion.
