Join us for an Adventurous Hike!

Embark on an early morning 16+ mile trek along the stunning 13.7 mile Coosa Backcountry Trail, including a 3-mile round trip hike over to Blood Mountain. Our journey begins at Vogel State Park, promising breathtaking views, challenging hills, and lush forests.

This strenuous hike is tailored for experienced trekkers who have recently conquered 15 miles or more. If you’re up for the challenge, please register and meet us a few minutes before 8 AM at the front of the Vogel Park Visitors Center. Let’s hit the trail together!

One more thing...this hike is for fun-loving people and those who enjoy being around others. Some of us like to make jokes, tell stories, and have a good laugh. If you're easily offended or prefer a quiet walk in the park, this hike is probably not for you. You've been warned!

 Notes:

1. Itinerary is subject to change before and during the event at the discretion of the trip leader.

2. We will be meeting at Vogel State Park Visitor Center and hike starts at 8 AM - NO CARPOOL.

3. Because of the time and distance, our breaks will be minimum, but do pack a lunch/snack.

4. Please be flexible with finishing time and distance. Things happen where our event may be longer or shorter.

5. There will not be a sweeper on this event so you are expected to keep up with the group pace set by the trip leader.

6. It costs $5 per car to get into the park, unless one person in the car has a pass.

7. The trip leader reserves the right to consider participant's past history and to make the final determination for participation on this hike.

8. To receive AOC event credit, you must complete the entire hike.

9. If you're a Garmin user, please join our 'Atlanta Outdoor Club (AOC) Garmin Users' group to connect with other AOC Garmin users and track your activity. Join us at: https://connect. garmin.com/modern/group/2255568
