Itinerary:

We will do this hike in a counter-clockwise direction which is our usual path.  We will make all of the same stops along the trail - the overlook at the top of the mountain, Cooper's Furnace (15-20 minute lunch break), Pine Mountain Visitor's Center and Alatoona Lake overlook.

We are starting a little earlier than usual to try to beat some of the summer heat.

This trail is rugged and rocky in in many spots, with an elevation gain of 1800+ feet.  Hikers must have at least multiple D3 hiking experience with the club to attend this hike.

Our pace will be approximately 2.8 mph.
