Itinerary:

"Grooving On The Beltline"

Come join us for this Saturday morning urban hike at Piedmont Park & the Beltline.

Our destination will be Krog's Market and back!   Along the way we will have a chance to enjoy the park views, Beltline art, and perhaps drop in at the Ponce City Market or Krog's Market for a quick rest stop and beverage and/or snack of your choice - you pay for it of course, so bring $$$  :)

What better way to enjoy a Saturday morning!

We’ll rendezvous at the crack of dawn—okay, 8:30 AM—at the 14th Street gate in Piedmont Park. This magical gate is at the intersection of Piedmont Road and 14th Street. If you’re not a local, give yourself plenty of time to navigate the urban jungle.

Parking? Oh, there’s plenty of paid parking near our meeting spot. I personally like to park near the Atlanta Botanical Gardens or neighborhood side streets, where there’s a secret stash of free weekend parking. Just remember to read those parking signs like they’re the latest bestseller, and give yourself enough time to hoof it from your car to the gate. If you’re taking MARTA, the Arts Center station is your best bet.

We’ll kick off our adventure at the 14th Street gate, meander through Piedmont Park, and then gracefully glide onto the Beltline trail for about 3-3.5 miles. At the halfway point, we’ll do a U-turn along the Eastside Trail section, re-enter Piedmont Park on the 10th Street side, and make our triumphant return to the 14th Street gate.

The grand total? A leisurely 6-7 miles at a moderate pace. Bring your sense of humor and your best walking shoes!

One more thing...this hike is for fun-loving people and those who enjoy being around others. Some of us like to make jokes, tell stories, and have a good laugh. If you're easily offended or prefer a quiet walk in the park, this hike is probably not for you. You've been warned!

 Important Note:

Event is weather dependent and at the discretion of the trip leader(s) may be cancelled or rescheduled due to actual or forecasted rain or other conditions.
