Itinerary:

The Walls of Jericho is a unique area with a narrow canyon about half a mile long, with 200-foot-high vertical limestone bluffs on each side. We will start at the TENNESSEE trailhead (not the Alabama side) and hike down to the water feature to see a waterfall disappear into the ground and reappear downstream. This is our halfway point and lunch spot to enjoy the area. We will need to rest because, after lunch,  it's a steady uphill climb back to our cars.  

This is a more challenging D4 hike with rough terrain and scrambling.

We will start at the Tennessee trailhead of this trail.  Don't be fooled and park at the Alabama trailhead. Trailhead location

We will arrive at the trailhead at about 10:00 EASTERN time.  This trailhead is in the Central timezone.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $110.40 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
