A walk around Decatur and Oakhurst with optional refreshments

Join me in a walk through Decatur with an optional stop at the world-famous Brick Store Pub before walking back to our cars. We will walk through the "Old Sycamore" neighborhood, through the Agnes Scott College campus, to the center of the Oakhurst neighborhood, before walking to Ponce de Leon and the Decatur Square, ending on Church Street by the Marta entrance. Those who wish to may join me in an optional stop at the Brick Store Pub for refreshments or dinner before heading down Sycamore Street back down Sycamore Street to our cars. Please email me at the link above if you will not be joining me at the Brick Store Pub. I can increase the number of attendees so long as the number going to the pub doesn't exceed 10.

I've estimated it will take one and a half hours, not counting how long people might choose to stay at the Brick Store Pub. It will take about 10 minutes to walk from the Brick Store Pub down Sycamore Street to the Avondale Marta station where we will park.

If you know you will not be joining us at the Brick Store Pub, please email the trip leader and he will increase the maximum event size if appropriate.

We will park at the Avondale Marta station's North lot on Sycamore Street at Ponce de Leon. For your GPS use:

That works in both Apple Maps and Google Maps once you choose the Marta station and not the apartments with that name. 915 E Ponce de Leon, Decatur, GA works in Apple Maps only. Both will take you to an entrance to the Marta parking lot. Turn right and park in the lower lot on the right as you face the station (the West end of the lot). If this is your first time attending this event, please read the directions carefully, look at the map linked above, and look at the photo showing our meeting place. Also please allow extra time to find us. We will start on time, so if you are late you will be left behind.
