Itinerary:

Lets explore a slightly different route (to me) than the usual AOC route around the big rock.

We will be going partially up the mountain then around the rock. Instead of taking the route that's on the southern side of Venable Lake, we'll take the route on the northern side. Then we'll connect to the usual Cherokee Trail, and on the last "exploratory" leg, we'll partially go up the mountain again before heading down to where we started.

That's the plan, Stan. But who knows what these lesser-taken routes will be like, so we may have to do an about face and go back to the usual.

We will meet at the usual spot near the walk up trail where the restrooms are.
