Itinerary:

It is not everyday that you can hike the Bartram Trail, have great views and even visit an abandoned school bus. Join me on this fun day hiking in beautiful North Carolina.

This hike is a long ascent with several viewpoints along the way. We will start at the Hickory Knoll Rd trailhead of the Bartram Trail and begin our ascent. At about the 2 mile mark we will hit the Pinnacle with some really nice views. After taking in the views we will continue uphill for about 2.5 miles where we will enjoy the Wolf Rock Overlook. More great views here as we continue uphill past Fishhawk Mountain and Little Fishhawk Mountain and finally Whiterock Mountain. The views here are really great and this will be our lunch spot. After lunch we will retrace our steps for a long downhill trek back to our cars.

This is a difficult D6 event with about 4200 feet of elevation gain, only those with recent D6 experience will be allowed on the event.
