This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

As the title of this event says... We will explore the Emory University campus. Optionally at the end of the hike, we can walk along the Nile... (What, you ask? Where in the world is Kym taking us to now???)

I am taking you to the Carlos museum. On this Sunday afternoon, the museum is free to visit, so lets take advantage of that. The museum floor has a map/painting of the Nile leading us to the mummies exhibit.  The museum "has the largest ancient art collections in the Southeast, including objects from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, Africa and the ancient Americas"

I'll leave the museum visit optional to each of you. I've visited the mummies a few times before, but I'll want to check out their latest exhibit too. The museum is very close to where we'll park.

Where's that, you ask? We can park and meet at the Fishburne Parking Deck (also free). We'll meet just outside the parking deck (Northwest corner, by the exit/stairs).

Please note that the official AOC event ends at noonish. The museum time is extra...

Notes:

For museum visit - Please note:
Leave backpacks (and other large bags) in the car or you'll have to check it in at the door. This is to protect the artwork from any oops!

We may explore the exhibits as a group or on your own. Stay as long as you want...
