Itinerary:

Welcome AOC Hikers!

You're invited to join me for a scenic hike at Vineyard Mountain. This is truly the best time of year to visit, as you can still see some great views of Lake Allatoona from the trail (before the leaves grow back on the trees.) It is also a great time of year to see some of the trees/shrubs blossoming along the trail.

During this event, we'll hike along all three trails at this park (yellow, red and blue). The red trail is the steepest and most challenging. All told, we'll hike about 6.8 miles during this event and tackle about 1,600 feet of elevation. We will make several stops to take in the beauty of this park and snap a few photos.

You will need significant D3 experience to participate in this hike due to the elevation. The pace of this hike will be moderate. If you want a fast hike, then please sign up for another event.

Near the end of the hike, we'll walk out on a peninsula and take in some of the best views of the lake from this vantage point.
