Please join me in this wonderful figure 8 hike in Chicopee Woods, we will pass by a lake, bridged creeks, and a suspension bridge, lots of fun.

Optional picnic lunch after the hike!

Our hike will be a low level D3, 8 miles at 1300 feet elevation, this is not going to be a race, but we will try to keep a steady pace.

We will park at the picnic area, please follow the signs.

We will start going south on the Bridge Trail for short distance, then head back up on the Upland Trail, go around the visitor center before we start heading south again on the Bridge Trail.

The Bridge and Lake loops overlap when crossing the suspension bridge, forming the figure 8.

We will turn on the Bridge Loop to cross the suspension bridge, and get on Lake Loop Trail, continue going south until we get over a large earthen dam to loop around Chicopee Lake and start going north on the east side of the Lake Loop.

We will cross the suspention bridge again to get back on the west side of the Bridge Loop, taking us back to our cars.

This photo will show you the blaze colors of each trail, all are mostly well marked.

Please note this hike will be postponed in case of significant rain forecast.

There is $5 parking fee, you will pay at the entrance gate.

Bathrooms are at the visitor center but they are not open till 10am, you can use them at the end of the hike.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Kindly arrive 10 minutes early for directions and introductions, make sure you have enough time to purchase the parking pass at the gate.
