Itinerary:

Come join me on a hike which Reader's Digest (2019) named "One of the Best Hikes In America" (along with Mt. Washington in new Hampshire and Yosemite National Park's Half Dome).

The Nature Conservency in Alabama helped preserved this place by purchasing 12,500 acres in Alabama. The Walls of Jericho straddle the Tennessee-Alabama state line and this strenuous 8 miles hike from the Tennessee entrance explores the headwaters of the Paint Rock River, delving deep into a natural ravine amphitheater.

This is a strenuous hike with an elevation gain of 1696 feet. We will hike about three miles in and at this point, the trail meets up with the trail which starts from Alabama.

We hike down into the canyon and take some time for lunch/snacks and to experience the beautiful natural amphitheater. We will then begin the rigorous hike back out.

We will meet at the parking lot on Rowe Gap and arrive a few minutes early for introductions.
