Any and all members who want to enjoy a late afternoon walk at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven are welcome. This walk is ideal for newcomers to the club also for those wanting to start a walking program. Veteran walkers and hikers are always invited.

Blackburn Park is a recreation hub in Brookhaven located near the intersection of Ashford-Dunwoody and Johnson Ferry Rd. The park offers a playground, a pavilion with dining benches and grills, tennis courts, soccer fields, and ball fields.

We will be interested in the walking path that takes us around the park and all of these amenities. Our path is mostly concrete pavement and not shaded. We will walk around the park twice.

We’ll meet at the benches at the start of the walking path. You’ll see large oak trees on the hill past the parking lot. We’ll do introductions prior to the 5 pm walk start.

Required Items to Bring:

Comfortable (closed toe) walking shoes NO Sandals NO Flip-flops NO Crocs
