Itinerary:

This park opened on July 1st and is Georgia's first new state park since Tallulah Gorge State Park opened in 1993. It occupies 2,900 acres of varied natural land in western Coweta County, with seven miles of river frontage along the Chattahoochee River. Georgia has 45 state parks and this is the fifth largest.

We will hike the 5 mile long River Walk Trail. This will be an out-and-back hike for a total of 10 miles. Our plan is to hike at a moderate pace with time to enjoy our surroundings.

We plan to stop to eat at Momma Goldberg's after the hike (optional if you would like to join us). Momma Goldberg's is very close to Exit 47 of I 85. If you need to get back to Atlanta early on this day, please take that into consideration.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver.
