Itinerary:

We will be hiking the Walk-Up Trail going to the top of Stone Mountain from the Confederate Hall parking lot and back.  Up and back is about two miles.

This is a casual and social hike up the mountain, so you can choose your own pace.  At the top of the mountain, we will hang out for awhile, take pics, and  enjoy the scenic view from the top.

On the way down, we will stop and watch the sunset from our usual vantage point.  Last time, Guitar Tony seranaded us with the acoustic version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door while the red disk slowly slipped below the downtown horizon. Will that happen again?  I don't know, but it might.

THE HIKE WILL START FROM THE CONFEDERATE HALL PARKING LOT NEAR THE BATHROOMS AT 4:25 PM.

Free parking is available at MARTA PARK n RIDE parking lot. It is less than a half mile walk to the park and the entrance is near our meeting area. Please take the time to look at the park map and parking options in order to be on time!
