Itinerary:
This is a great hike for beginners and vets who just want to stretch their legs, get their hearts pumping a little, and enjoy the beauty of the Georgia fall weather and meet up with some friendly people.  It's not too long, and definitely not too strenuous.  

This is part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area, so a $3 parking fee (bring cash) is required - - unless you have an annual pass.

Directions

From I-285 East

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Left for 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left, then cross the river and then take an immediate right into the unit parking lot.

From I-285 West

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Right for 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left, then cross the river and an immediate right into the unit.

From GA 9 North, Roswell Road to Johnson Ferry Road

  • Right onto Johnson Ferry Road, go 2.2 miles
  • Cross the river and take immediate right into the unit.

From GA 9 South, Roswell Road to Johnson Ferry Road

  • Left onto Johnson Ferry Road, go 2.2 miles
  • Cross the river and take immediate right into the unit.

Notes:
Since this is a CNRArea, dogs are required to be on leash at all times.
* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.
