Itinerary:

Welcome to another TGIF hike at Jones Bridge Park! This time we will rock after the hike! You are welcome to join some of us to a free concert hosted by the City of Norcross featuring a Bruce Springsteen tribute show http://www.norcrossga.net/info-full-text.php?page_ID=1262818282.

Hike

The trail rolls along the river for about two miles, then enters the woods, where we will head towards the pond. From there we will walk along the river again. In general, the trails are flat with some relatively easy uphill climbs, nothing with over a 150 foot elevation gain.

To make this a workout, we will go at a moderately brisk pace (we don't want to miss the concert!)

We'll meet in the parking lot at the very end of the entrance road.  Restrooms are available here.  

Concert

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and the site is around 6 miles away at Thrasher Park (directions below). You can bring your snacks/refreshments and a blanket. And, by the way, the concert site is also a collection site for the "CAN" Do food drive. You are welcome to bring your donation.

From GA 400, take exit 7a, and head East 4.1 miles through the intersection of Holcomb Bridge and Nesbitt Ferry Road to the junction of Barnwell Road. Turn left on Barnwell Rd, and travel approx 2 miles to Jones Bridge Branch which will be on the right. Turn in and go a little over 1/2 mile to large parking lot at end of road.

1. Start out going southwest on Barnwell Rd toward Citadella (1.5 Mi)
2. Turn left onto Holcomb Bridge Rd NW / GA-140 (2.9 Mi)
3. Turn left onto Holcomb Bridge Rd NW (1.6 Mi)
4. Turn left onto W Peachtree St. (0.09 Mi)
5. Take the 1st right onto Park Dr. (0.07 Mi)
6. 1 PARK DR is on the right.
