Itinerary:

Ok so I need to take something back to REI, so figure it’s a good excuse to do a little hike at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center in Buford.   Many people don’t know about this park, but it is nice with some wooded trails over rolling hills.

The Ivy Creek Greenway runs through the park, and at one point there is an old dam and a waterfall…nothing extraordinary, but well worth a visit as you can see above.  If it's a hot day, we can take a break there and wade in a bit. I'm bringing my watershoes.

But we will start out on some of the trails around the center…and then will jump on the paved greenway trail and hike to the falls and back…maybe a little beyond that.  Total distance should be about 4-5 miles...pace will be fairly leisurely.

If anyone wants to meet at REI beforehand and join me in admiring all the cool gear, then let me know, or will just see you there.

We will allow two dogs on the event, but they must be friendly and interact well with other dogs and also must obey any leash laws there at the park.
