*** This was scheduled as a D1 (4 mile) hike; however, due to a wrong choice of trails, we ultimately went 5.5 miles, and picked up the pace rather dramatically for the last half hour of the hike. Due to this unplanned change in the itinerary, I have made the rating for this event a D2.

This is a hike for beginners who are reluctant to register for events because they're too fast, too long, or too hilly. Like Goldilocks and the three bears, this event is just right! So NO EXCUSES for not signing up! We'll take a leisurely pace on this flat, paved trail, allowing folks to talk without running out of breath. We might stop from time to time, allowing for a picture or two.

We'll walk for around 45 minutes, then retrace our route back to the parking lot.

We will start our hike ON TIME, so please arrive at least 5 minutes early so that you can check in. Arriving early also allows time for you to introduce yourself to the other participants.

We'll allow up to three people with dogs on this hike, so if you see three dog-registrants, please do not bring yours. Dogs must be on leash at all times, no exceptions. AOC is very visible and it is important we portray a good image by abiding with park rules.

GA 400 to exit 7 (Holcomb Bridge Rd) and go East towards Norcross

Left at second traffic light onto Old Alabama Rd (Second traffic light). McDonalds is on your right)
Go about 1/3 mile, arriving at entrance to Roswell Greenway on your left. You will turn into a small gravel parking lot. There is a beige design with green writing. Come through that parking lot (continuing away from Old Alabama Rd) and follow the gravel road over the hill. There will be a parking area and small restroom building on your right. We'll meet by the restroom building.
