The hike will be approximately 8 to 9 miles and may involve some uneven or steep sections so consider appropriate footwear. You can bring your dog, but note that you will not be able to take your dog on the walk-up trail to see the sunset. So, keep that in mind when you sign up. You may have to leave your pet in the car or skip the sunset portion of the event.
There's a trail that leads into Stone Mountain Park from Stone Mountain Village. The trail is next to the Stone Mountain Visitor center Gazebo/Police Station parking lot on Main street. Once you get to the paved surface in the park, turn left and go under the rail overpass to get to Confederate Hall.
Thanks TonyC for the great picture!!! | |||||||
