Itinerary:

We're going to be hiking through property owned by the City of Roswell on this hike - - around the Roswell Mill Area. We'll hike through a little residential area, along Oxbo Road, through the Waller Extention trail, and along the river on a trail owned by the City of Roswell.

This will be a brisk trek. The pace will be moderately fast, so this is NOT a beginner hike. (Look for my No-Excuses hikes that will be more suitable for newcomers.)

We will start the hike promptly at 10:30 am, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to buy a parking pass and meet your fellow hikers. The terrain is hilly with some short, steep ascents.We'll allow 3 members with dogs on the hike, so if three dog-people are already registered, please do not add yours. Dogs should be able to keep up the pace and should be kept on a leash at all times Since we will be hiking at a relatively fast pace, it is important NOT to have dogs running loose on the trails, presenting a tripping hazard to our participants. If your dog doesn't like to be on a leash, please do not sign up for the hike.

There are bathrooms available right off the parking lot at this location.

hiking poles if you like to use them - - the trails have lots of rocks, roots, and hill

sunscreen - - and long socks/pants if you're susceptible to poison ivy.

Roswell Mill is at 120 and S. Atlanta Road in Roswell. Use either the physical address below or the lat/lon coordinates to get your own directions. We are meeting behind all of the shops at the Roswell Mill Center. Just keep driving down the road till you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the long hill. You'll do a bit of winding as you descend to the lot.

Roswell Mill is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect.
