Itinerary:

Victor is in training to be a Trip Leader, so please help me welcome him as a co-lead for this hike.   It may be a wet morning, but if you're willing to chase the rain, so are we.    This wonderful unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area is often neglected in favor of its nearby sister, East Palisades; come check it out and we're sure you'll love it!   

We'll take this hike at a fairly brisk pace, though we won't be up to a fitness hike speed. (Nothing super-fast, but not a stroll in the park, either.)  There are some hills to climb, but lots of flat areas as well.  You'll be treated to lovely river views and glimpses of East Palisades across the Chattahoochee River.

Three members can bring dogs - - so if three members have already indicated that they will be bringing pets, please do not add yours.  Please be considerate of other folks and keep your dog on leash.  It's the law!

There's a $3 parking fee at this location.  Be sure to have the correct amount in cash to purchase a parking tag.  (Failure to do so is a $75 fine!)

Please arrive a few minutes before the hike is scheduled to start to check in, use the restroom, and pay for your parking pass. We will leave on time - - 10 am!

From northbound Interstate 75
- Take Exit 256 - Mt. Paran Road NW.
- Turn Left at Mt. Paran Road NW, go 0.1 mile.
- Turn right at US 41/Northside Parkway NW. go 1 mile park entrance is on your left.

From southbound Interstate 75
- Take exit 258 - Cumberland Boulevard.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your right.

From eastbound Interstate 285
- Take exit 20 - Interstate 75 S, go 0.8 miles.
- Keep left at fork to Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.4 miles.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your right.

From westbound Interstate 285
- Take exit 20 - Interstate 75 S/US 41/Cumberland Boulevard
- Keep left at fork to Interstate 75 S/Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.6 miles.
- Keep left at fork to Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.4 miles.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your right.
