We will start the hike at Track Rock Gap and hike up to Brasstown Bald. The first 1.5 miles to the Buzzards Roost Ridge is a steep 1500' elevation gain. Next we pass Chimneytop Mountain, gaining another 1000' elevation to reach Brasstown Bald. We will have lunch at Brasstown Bald, then return back to Track Rock Gap. During the hike there are several ups and downs which will attribute to an overall elevation gain in the proximity of 4,800'. | |||||||
