Itinerary:

Still keeping up the tradition for Ann and Ralph, the Vickery Creek/Oxbo hike continues.  We'll be starting the hike at 6 pm and covering at least 5 miles in the time allotted.  We won't stop except for a trail intersection catch-up, and photos (if any) will be kept to a minimum!

The Vickery Creek section of the Chattahooche National Recreation Area contains many miles of interconnected hiking trails. Our plan is to hike about five miles miles as we zig-zag our way along the creeks and across the mid-section of trails. This will be a fast paced hike.  This is not a hike for beginners or for folks who can't handle a fast pace on hilly terrain.

We are starting and parking on Oxbo Road.  It is free to park there! Directions below.
We will start promptly at 6:00 PM.  If you're late, we'll be gone - - and catching up will be nigh impossible!


Required Items to Bring:

Shoes you can hike in (fast ones!)
Water bottle
Clothing appropriate for weather conditions

Recommended Items to Bring:

Insect repellant

A pole for stability on the rocky, root-laden trails.

We will meet at the Oxbo parking lot on Oxbo Road, off of Route 9/120, Atlanta Street, Roswell GA.  There is a gas station on the corner where you have to turn.
